BTW notice the "appetizing" linoleum in the background. Speaking of Zeitgeist, that is an example of what was considered trendy 4 decades ago with appliances to match. It's hard to believe that at one time all the colors most commonly associated with vomit were considered trendy. Yet ironically there was so much creativity that came out of the early 1970's and as far as the bleak (in my opinion) color schemes- they at least made excellent settings for horror films. I wasn't born until the mid to late 70's but I can sense the era has a mystique that can even make the tackiest things charming.
